Merino story
The merino sheep is one of the oldest sheep breeds in the world, and the production of their wool has been refined over the centuries to move with you, adapt to your environment, and (needless to say) stand the test of time.
So, merino wool is more than just a fabric; it’s a high-performance material sourced directly from nature.
That’s why it was only natural to choose merino as the foundation fibre of Longform. Light, soft and versatile, it answers our everyday needs with effortless style.

BENEFITS
MERINO

Elevated Comfort
Each merino fibre is fine, breathable, and remarkably soft. Unlike traditional wool, it feels smooth against the skin, making it ideal for layering or wearing solo. Natural elasticity keeps its shape, while its lightweight structure keeps you comfortable. That’s why Longform merino always drapes the way it should.

Effortless performance
Every time you put on a Longform merino piece, the merino starts working in ways you may not realise.

Temperature Regulating
Merino naturally adapts to your body’s needs, insulating to keep you warm when it’s cold and breathing to keep you cool when it’s warm.

Moisture-wicking
Designed to keep you feeling dry and fresh, the natural lanolin in each merino fibre helps pull moisture away from the skin.
Odour-resistant
Minimal washing required. Merino resists the buildup of bacteria that cause odour, meaning you can wear it more and wash it less.

Soft Touch
With its hypoallergenic and anti-bacterial properties, merino gives a luxury feel against your skin and helps to avoid irritation and scratching.
Wrinkle-resistant
Due to the natural crimp of the fibre, merino moves with you, always retaining its structural integrity and keeping your fit fresh.

The Science
For the detail-driven: Merino fibre is measured in microns (the diameter of the fibre). The finer the micron, the finer the fibre and softer it is to touch.
Longform merino ranges from 18.9 to 21 microns.
